That’s a compelling review of your book, Mary. It also makes me want to see it adapted into a film, or TV drama. (Already casting the leads in my head…) 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
I sadly have no screen-writing experience. But I was thinking of Vicky McClure. A very strong English character actress.I am sure she could become a convincing Miriam. Also Riz Ahmend, who was outstanding in ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. He could play the first husband. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vicky_McClure https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riz_Ahmed
Best wishes, Pete.
Interesting choices, Pete. Riz Ahmed would be good as the first husband. Wonder if Vicky could sund Scottish? You may not have experience of writing screen plays but you have vast film-watching experience and I’m sure have absorbed the ability to write one. For some reason your comment had to be moderated – wonder if the links made WordPress suspicious?
Yes, you can ‘allow’ links from the settings. If you don’t ‘allow’ more than one link, it will go into moderation. I have set mine for a maximum of two links.
I think Vicky could sound Scottish, but this actress might be a more convincing Scot., and she’s a wonderful actress too. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0225483/
Thanks for reblogging the review. I enjoyed reading and reviewing your book – such a great story. Apologies that the reblog button doesn’t enable you to introduce the post.

Thanks, Pete. I love the idea of it adapted to film. Do you fancy writing the screenplay? Who do you have in mind as the leads? 🙂

Mine seems to allow one link as this comment came straight through. Kate sounds good.

Thanks, Darlene. I agree with you both about it making a good film but no offers have come in, I’m afraid!
